On the afternoon of 2 October this year, a Brazilian business delegation paid a working visit to Riopele, within the scope of an initiative organized by CITEVE.
Comprising 16 companies, the delegation was received in Riopele’s R & D centre, where the director Bernardino Carneiro chaired a welcome session, followed by a screening of the company’s corporate video.
Then, Albertina Reis, director of the R&D department, presented the development department and the company’s main projects in the fields of innovation and sustainability. After her intervention, she answered questions asked by various members of the Brazilian delegation.
Later on, the delegation visited the Finishing department, where it found out more about the jets area, the automatic colour kitchens and the new stenter machine, taking a break for the traditional group photo next to the new offices.
To complete their visit, the entrepreneurs were guided around the Quality Control department, where they became familiar with the main technical aspects of the inspection process. At the end, the members of the delegation thanked the company for the reception and the visit, highlighting Riopele’s remarkable productive and technological capacity.
This initiative, which also included visits to Modtíssimo and to technology and research centres, raised awareness of the reality of the Portuguese textile and garment industry, contributing to create opportunities for corporate cooperation and business development involving the two countries.
