Our collections meet the most demanding environmental, safety and quality standards.
At Riopele we define our strategy and guide our conduct considering a broad sustainability context which is reflected in the way we create and manufacture our products, and also in the way we manage all the waste we generate.
So, our fabric collections meet the most demanding environmental and safety standards, being subject to a strict quality control throughout the entire production process.
In order to ensure that our products are safe for both people and the planet, we also use recycled and environmentally-friendly fibres in our fabric collections, namely:
- TENCEL® - lyocel fibre of botanical origin, extracted from wood, with an eco-friendly production cycle;
- Refibra™ - the most sustainable fibre in the world, which combines two innovations: the TENCEL® technology and recycled cotton fabric scraps;
- REPREVE® - recycled polyester fibre produced from the recycling of materials, using traceable and transparent processes. Certified by the international standard Global Recycle Standard (GRS) and using a FiberPrint® tracer technology, Repreve® provides a track and tracing system from raw material through to the final product, ensuring the highest level of integrity in terms of sustainability.
Within this scope, we also promote the implementation of R&D projects, such as the R4Textiles project, which involves the creation of fabrics based on the reuse of our own textile waste.
