Riopele's investment in the Asian market has exceeded expectations. In China, known as the ‘Factory of the World,’ Riopele was honoured with the ‘Sustainable Fashion Pioneer’ award.
The prize, presented by fashion industry experts, was awarded during Première Vision Shenzhen, one of the largest textile fairs held in China. Criteria evaluated included the effectiveness of circularity, the use of recycled materials, biopolymers, and new materials in product composition and production management. Strategies for optimising business operations related to chemical management, water management, and waste elimination were also assessed.
Our main goal is to 'be an industrial, global, creative, and sustainable company, grounded in a continuous innovation environment,' emphasised José Alexandre Oliveira. ‘We’re on the right track,’ said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riopele.
Present in over 50 markets, Riopele is seeking to deepen its relative presence in high-growth potential markets. The return to Asia comes after two years of increased caution due to the prolonged effects of the pandemic. ‘Naturally, we don’t overlook our traditional markets. On the contrary, we’ve been continuously investing to optimise our responsiveness,’ recalled José Alexandre Oliveira.
After attending JITAC in Tokyo, Riopele participated in Première Vision Shenzhen in China. According to the organisers, ‘Première Vision Shenzhen embodies the fundamental essence of Première Vision Paris and is committed to the sustainable development vision for the fashion industry, bringing together the world's best suppliers and focusing on the ecological transformation of the textile industry.’
