Between June 20 and 26, two Riopele working groups of 18 employees, including Riopele Chairman of the Board of Directors, José Alexandre Oliveira, and Board of Directors, Bernardino Carneiro, visited “ITMA 2019” in Barcelona and discovered the latest textile technology, which took place under the theme “Innovating the World of Textiles”.
Since its launch in 1951, ITMA has been widely recognized as the largest exhibition of textile and clothing technology and innovation in the world. This year's edition reached a record number of exhibitors, totalling 1717 exhibiting companies from 45 countries, in an area of 115 thousand square meters, covering the entire value chain of the textile and clothing industry.
This work mission was an opportunity for those responsible for the areas of Production, R&D, Purchasing and Maintenance, to contact and deepen their knowledge regarding innovative raw materials and production technology, innovations in the scope of industry 4.0 and digitization, and emerging solutions for sustainable production of textiles and clothing, within the scope of circular economy.
Also, it represented an opportunity to promote the meeting between professionals in the sector, evaluate strategies defined for the future and promote partnerships that contribute to the development of Riopele's business.
