A Riopele fabric produced using recycled raw material originating from waste, threads and fabrics of the company, adding cork waste, is one of the finalists of the iTechStyle Awards, under the Fabrics category, a choice which has already had dozens of proposals based on the assumptions of innovation and sustainability.
The latest finalists of the next edition of the iTechStyle Awards under its four categories – fabric, product, sustainability and accessories - are: Riopele, Mabera and TMG, for fabrics; Tintex, A. Salgado e Adalberto for products; Eurobotónia, Gracia Sofia and Bordados Oliveira for accessories; and Têxteis Penedo, Tintex, Adalberto, Burel Factory and JF Almeida for sustainability.
The solutions which have now been chosen to join those already selected in the February edition, thereby completing the list of finalists for the next edition of the iTechStyle Awards.
The jury members of this edition were José Morgado (director of Engineering and Technology of CITEVE), Fernando Pereira (Chemical Engineering department of FEUP), Hélder Carvalho (Textile Engineering department of UM), Carla Silva (Chemistry and Biotechnology department of CITEVE), João Gomes (operations’ director of CeNTI), Ana Ribeiro (Textile Cluster) and Pedro Guimarães (Modatex).
