Last 29 June, Riopele received the visit of Pedro Siza Vieira, Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, on a day dedicated to the textile and clothing sector.
Speaking to the press, the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition highlighted the development of the fashion industry in Portugal and the role of companies like Riopele.
"Riopele has made a very significant investment of €35 million. This means that all components of the production chain have been fully renovated with more modern, more efficient, more environmentally sustainable equipment and making great use of digital technologies to increase productivity," stated Pedro Siza Vieira.
"It is an example of the path that the textile and clothing industry has to take in Portugal," stressed the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition.
At the end of the day, the Ministry of Economy in the Government, led by António Costa, closed the Textile Industry Symposium this year under the theme 'Regenerate the sector, win the future - A strategic vision for the decade'.
