Medal of Municipal Merit awarded to the President of Riopele

On 9 July, the President of Riopele, José Alexandre Oliveira, received the Medal of Economic Municipal Merit in a ceremony held in the Grand Auditorium of the Casa Das Artes, as part of the City Day celebrations.

José Alexandre Oliveira's recognition is due to his role as an industrialist with over 40 years of professional experience in the textile and clothing sector, as well as his performance in relevant functions in the sector's associations, both in Portugal and in Europe, in particular his performance as President of ANITAF, President of the General Assembly of ATP, President of Eurocoton and Portugal's representative in Euratex.

The Economic Municipal Merit Medal is one of the most distinctive awards granted by the Municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão. It is intended to reward individuals or companies who, through their activities in the industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors, bring prestige to the municipality, contributing to its development.
