Under the label The Rebirth of Textiles, Tenowa is integrated into the R4Textiles project, co-financed by Compete 2020, and it is Riopele’s new brand for fabrics made of 100% recycled material, thus substantiating the investment that the company has been making in the areas of sustainable industry and circular economy.

The award was given by Manuel Caldeira Cabral, Minister of Economy, to Albertina Reis, head of Research and Development at Riopele, in representation of the Board of Directors. Within the scope of this initiative, other companies were also distinguished in the following categories: Smart Product, Products, Fabrics and Accessories.

Organized by CITEVE – Tecnologia Têxtil, in collaboration with Associação Seletiva Moda and under the scientific coordination of the University of Minho – Centre for Textile Science and Technology, the iTechStyle Summit aims at providing a platform to promote the globalization of research, establishing a dialogue between industries and academic organizations.

On the other hand, the iTechStyle Awards aim at rewarding and distinguishing the best technical and innovative fabrics, products and accessories, designed and manufactured by individuals and entities, either corporate or non-corporate, which are associated with the textile industry and its areas of application.
