On the morning of January 14, Rui Rio, leader of the Social Democratic Party, accompanied by Paulo Cunha, Mayor of Vila Nova de Famalicão, among other personalities, visited Riopele, as part of a week devoted to Industry that started, precisely, in our facilities.
Received at the main entrance of the Administrative Building by José Alexandre Oliveira, Chairman of Riopele, and by Bernardino Carneiro, Board Director, the delegation then went to a working meeting.
Then, several subjects were analyzed about the industrial activity, in general, and about textile and clothing activity, in particular. The group was impressed with Riopele's vision and business atmosphere, especially in terms of ongoing investments in the scope of Industry 4.0 and the digitization of textile processes.
Afterwards, the delegation visited the areas of Finishing and Quality Control, finally going to the R&D centre, where they observed the fabric development process and some research projects, which is the case of Tenowa brand.
