QHSE Integrated Management System Certification

The “2nd follow-up audit of the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Management System" was held on July 27, 28 and 29. It was aimed at verifying if the company still complies with the requirements set forth in the applicable certification standards. The audit took place in strict observance to the health rules and guidelines issued by health authorities and the internal contingency plan, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The audit report highlighted the following points as positive aspects of the organization: the investment in innovation; R&D projects; Sustainability; human resources development through the Horizontes (Horizons) Programme; our ongoing projects, i.e., RKPI+ and RMind+; the continuous investment in the repair of infrastructures and upgrade of information systems and equipment. In addition, the active engagement of our senior management and all members of staff was praised during this process.

The auditors were pleased with the overall results of the work developed at Riopele, and considered that the goals have been complied with, not identifying any situations that had a negative impact. Thus, Riopele shall maintain the QHSE Integrated Management System Certification, and must ensure that proper actions will be taken in view of the findings and opportunities for improvement that the auditors have identified.
