Francisca Oliveira, Business Development Manager at Riopele, has joined the Board of the Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal (ATP) as a member. The new Board, elected for the 2025–2027 term, takes office in a context marked by uncertainty and volatility in the sector, reinforcing ATP’s role as a key reference and support organization for Portuguese textile and clothing companies. The election took place at the Association’s headquarters in Vila Nova de Famalicão.

“At a particularly demanding time for the Portuguese textile industry, collective engagement takes on an even more decisive meaning. ATP represents not only a collective voice but also a commitment to support, trust, and sectoral cohesion. Standing together strengthens each company — together, we are more resilient and competitive,” highlights Francisca Oliveira.

Representing the fourth generation of the Oliveira family at Riopele, Francisca continues the company’s longstanding commitment to the development and enhancement of the Portuguese textile industry. She follows the example of the current Chairman of the Board, José Alexandre Oliveira, whose active involvement in industry associations over nearly five decades has been instrumental in strengthening the sector’s cohesion and competitiveness.

ATP – the Textile and Clothing Association of Portugal – brings together around 500 companies, employing approximately 35,000 people in Portugal and generating nearly €3 billion in turnover, two-thirds of which comes from export markets.
